We met one day at our local gym, and bonded over our mutual worrying about our cats at home. Were they lonely? Were they bored? We couldn't stay for a coffee as we had to rush back to our babies! As our friendship continued we dreamt of going away together, but were faced with the ever present worry, of who would look after our cats? Epecially at the same time? We then realised this was a problem for many cat owners. We scoured the internet for independent sitters, but who could we trust? These people would be coming into our homes and we would be leaving our most beloved pets with them. And we wanted more than just a feeding service. We know our cats need company and care, and we need peace of mind when we are away from home. Our cats are part of our family, as we are sure yours are. That's how we came up with the idea of FurEver Friends. We vet (uh oh, say that quieter) all our sitters. They all have a love of cats, and will cuddle, play, feed, groom, and nuture your cat/s. From a long day at the office, to longer periods of time away from home, we will meet your needs, and those of your cats!

Founder : Hi. I am a self confessed crazy cat lady…or at least I would be if my 2 kitties would let me have more. I have always had an affinity with cats and cannot imagine a life without them so it seemed logical to bring them into my work life…I worked as a nanny for many years and then became a Pilates instructor.

I've always been drawn to cats because of their calm, independent nature. With cats, you earn their trust and affection through genuine care, attention, and, of course, a few treats.

So I went from nurturing and taking care of kids to helping adults to feel good through Pilates. I feel I have more to give and giving love and attention to cats and making sure people can enjoy their holidays without worrying about them feels like the purrfect fit.

Founder: Cats have always been a massive part of my life, the unique personalities they possess, their quirks, their independence, and their quiet affection. Growing up with cats, I quickly learned how special the bond between a pet and their owner can be. When I had my own cat, he became my closest companion, teaching me just how much joy and comfort these animals bring into our lives.

I learnt a lot about behaviours and communication with our feline friends. Losing him was incredibly difficult, but it deepened my understanding of the care, patience, and love that every cat deserves.

Beyond my personal love for animals, I’ve worked in environments where animal welfare and understanding are key. These experiences have given me a strong experience in animal well-being, patience, and the gentle understanding that every cat has their own unique needs. I’ve even worked with their ancestors, lions and leopards and been amazed at the similarities :)

I know how stressful it can be to leave your cat behind when life takes you away. The reassurance of knowing they’re safe, content, and cared for by someone who truly cares for them, makes all the difference.

Myself and Katie, have spent years looking after cats as trusted sitters, making sure each one gets the attention and comforts they need.For me, cat sitting isn’t just about food and litter boxes…it’s about making sure your cat feels happy, secure, and loved in your absence. Whether your cat is playful, reserved, young, or in their golden years,I am here to give them the same care and attention I would want for my own.

I truly believe each cat has a unique character. Over the years, I've had

cats with a wide range of personalities—from playful kittens to shy rescues—and I've enjoyed learning how to meet their individual needs.

I once adopted a stray who was initially fearful, but with patience and gentle attention, he eventually became affectionate and loved being around people. The cat I have now used to dislike cuddles, but after consistent love and affection, she can't get enough cuddles.

My Experience includes cat-sitting services for neighbours, including caring for a mother cat and her kittens.

I have gained invaluable experience by owning and raising my cats, each with unique dietary, social, and health needs.

I am comfortable administering medication, trimming nails, and handling special dietary requirements.

My goal is to make every cat in my care feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their home environment. I tailor my visits to match each cat's personality—whether they're shy, outgoing, or somewhere in between. I'm patient, observant, and quick to notice any changes in behaviour or health.

Being a fur mum myself I know the importance wanting your animal/s being kept fed, safe and happy whilst your away. I have been working in the animals care/ veterinary sector for the past 8 years, including the RVC & Fitzpatrick Referrals (seen on the SuperVet) so have experience working with many different breeds, sizes & behaviours. The most important thing is I want you and your pet to be happy and comfortable whilst you’re away.
